About Her Safe Network

Her Safe Network is a registered charity providing safe, inclusive and pet friendly accommodation and support for people escaping domestic abuse, crisis or unsafe circumstances.

We support survivors across different backgrounds and circumstances, including women, men, LGBTQ+ survivors, families, people from diverse cultural, ethnic and faith backgrounds, and those who need language support.

Our work combines safe accommodation with coordinated practical, emotional and advocacy support across safety, housing, health, benefits, legal, wellbeing and language pathways.

Our Mission

We strive to support survivors escaping domestic abuse, crisis or unsafe circumstances to reach safety, overcome barriers and rebuild independenceWe provide safe accommodation alongside practical, emotional and advocacy support, helping each person access the right services, make informed choices and move forward with dignity and confidence.

Our Vision

We envision a future where everyone escaping abuse can find safety, dignity and the support they need to live free from fear. We want survivors to feel respected, empowered and able to move towards recovery, independence and hope, with access to safe accommodation, meaningful support and opportunities to rebuild their lives.

Why Our Work Matters?

Leaving abuse is rarely just about finding a place to stay. Survivors may face isolation, financial control, trauma, housing insecurity, language barriers, legal or immigration concerns, caring responsibilities, or the fear of leaving a pet behind.

Her Safe Network exists to reduce these barriers by providing a safe place to stay and support to access the right services, information and practical help at the right time.

Pet Friendly and Inclusive Support

For many survivors, pets are part of the family. National domestic abuse and animal welfare organisations recognise that concern for a pet’s safety can become a serious barrier to leaving abuse, especially where many refuge options cannot accommodate pets.

Her Safe Network’s pet friendly approach helps reduce this barrier where suitable accommodation and support arrangements are available. This makes our model distinctive: we support the survivor’s safety and accommodation needs while also recognising the bond between people and their pets.
